Part-Time Business Manager

Marquette Symphony Orchestra is a professional orchestra dedicated to bringing high-quality live music to Michigan’s

Upper Peninsula. MSO presents six concerts each season, including a free public performance and a special

educational concert for local students. As a key arts organization in the region, MSO connects musicians, audiences,

and the community through dynamic and diverse programming.

Position Details:

  • Hours: Average of 10 hours per week

  • Pay: $20/hour

  • Benefits: None

  • Schedule: Flexible with some evening and weekend work required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative & Financial Support: Manage email and mail correspondence, coordinate payments and banking, track income and donor contributions, grant reports.

  • Marketing & Communications: Maintain the MSO website and assist with promotional efforts.

  • Board & Committee Support: Schedule meetings, prepare materials, and take minutes at board meetings.

  • Fundraising & Donor Relations: Assist Fundraising Committee with campaigns, grant applications, tracking donor contributions, and ensure sponsor benefits are fulfilled.

  • Event Concert Coordination: Help manage logistics, advertisements for concert programs and outreach events.
